Does it work on the X5s? X5s don't have the engine temperature gauge so this may come in handy if it works in the E70s.

I live in a very rural area where traffic is not an issue so I leave this feature off. If I go into metro areas, where I might be concerned about traffic, I turn it back on. Why BMW doesn't have automatic day/night mode activation with the headlight sensor is another BMW nonsensical decision (IMHO).

I had a 2008 Honda Goldwing motorcycle which had the factory navigation system and it would automatically change to night mode and day mode according to the sunset and sunrise times for each day. But at least BMW could have tied it into whether the headlights were on or not. Just a ridiculous way to save a nickel.

I think the 'USA' made models (X5, X6 and now X3) kind of get shafted in terms of options and features!!

not sure if u guys know this, you can change intensity of the heat by pressing AUTO button on the console, press it again and it goes from Soft to Medium and than to Intense

i wont memorize the entire book so this threat is for specifics and just a conversation

i didn't look through all 50 posts. so maybe someone already point it out.

When you use vice command. And say 100 feet, 200 feet, 1 mile, 50 mile or 100 miles the map distant will change.

^ that's neat, but I really hate the voice command... half the time it guesses wrong on what I'm saying.

BTW, anyone know if there's a way to make the dash show a digital speedo or is that program-only?
