I brought this up and the fact that I'd seen a photo on the forum to my CA and he said that he knows nothing about this model. I don't think he is lying either, because to me it makes sense for BMW to keep their sales folks working hard to move existing inventory and offers them plausible deniability in cases where they tell customers "I don't know of anything coming out to replace XYZ".

BMW always has embargo on what info can be told outside of BMW. If BMW employees or press people break the embargo then there access is cut-off plus the fines.

From what I have heard; 2011 models listed below will be released in US in spring of 2010. 2011 X3 and 6-series will debut in fall 2010.

3-series with N55 engine for 335i and N54 for 335is, with facelift for coupe and cabrio
5-series - New F10 5-series debut at Geneva
7-series - 740i and 740li release for US
X5 - Facelift with N55 engine for xDrive35i and TT8 xDrive50i
X6 - new N55 engine for xDrive35i
Z4 - new z4 sDrive35is

Most dealerships don't know what's going on at BMW corporate--their job is to sell current inventory anyways.

my dealer told me there are two allocations left for 2011 diesel, and $4500 rebate should be applicable if locked in before march. They did not offer insight in i6, or v8 2011

sheikh36 01-18-2010 08:57 PM

Are u sure he didnt mean 2010??My dealer said 2011 was not open yet....considering there has been no announcement I doubt he was talking about 2011...

zalzala 01-18-2010 10:00 PM

I am positive that's what we were told! Besides they did not speak good abt diesel engine though.

Off the point but I test drove 2010 550gt that was a helluva car to drive. Design aside power . Suspension, transmission all were perfect to my taste fir a 73k car IMO is a better buy than 740i upcoming.

If 2011 x5 v8 will have that helluva ride it will be hella car!

I so some how never liked steering feel on 760i but this darn 550gt was perfect just like my outgone 435i coupe

I strongly recommend to take a test drive of this new odd kid on the block

I did hear that the eco credit was extended another 2 months from my CA, nothing about 2011s being allocated yet.

Another thing I wanted to run by you all is the $1,800 tax credit for diesels. Is this for corporations only or for individuals too?
