BMW are tight arses when it comes down to 'standard' stuff ..I agree for that kind of money it should be better equipped ... I think it is getting better for us in Aus over time though as things like HUD get added etc ...

BAD ..that's a great spec ..you will be happy ... I'll likely go similar way, incl 7 seats as daughter is one year away from being legal for kiddy seats ...handy when we want to cart a few friends around ...

I had some problems with my navigator a blue screen from time to time.
So I brought my car to the Dealer here in Adelaide, we have “only “ dealer
After two days the car was ready, I was told the battery had to be changed and so they did all free of charge as the car is still under warranty.
When I drove off I noticed my steering wheel controls didn’t work any more like before, the electric chairs memory also gone.
At night we went out for a pleasant dinner when we try to drive home, we had to pull off the road all windows condensed, ok all simple do the right thing and there we go.
All my addresses in the navigator gone , mirrors had to be readjusted , sound on navigator gone all simple things but I am 73 and have red the car instruction book 2.5 years ago and adjusted everything as I want it.
The BMW workshop have a back up system for backing up the car settings and they just didn’t used it. So be careful when you bring the car for service.
To day my back (tail gate) door started to rattle and I try to make an appointment, 50 cars in front of me was the message , than I ask whether I could bring the car early in the morning next week and wait for the hatch to be adjusted , I quess approx. 15min. work. No Sir our planning is only 2 hour accurate, early morning no Sir. or if you like to wait 2 hours plus.
Now we have to drive with two cars 45 minutes to and fro and with a bit of luck in the afternoon again to pick up the car.
I wonder what other owner’s experience.
We have only one dealer here in Adelaide the next is in Melbourne 1000Km

Yeah for some reason BMW website won't let you download an e version!? Typically they make you work through the various data collection stages before letting you know that, frustrating.

You might be the one ! heard from Auto Classic that they are expecting LCI demo in next 2 weeks, yours might be inthe same batch. Mine still 3 more months to go :yawn:

i got it from BMW Sydney, they rung me up the other day to arrange for a test drive in the next couple of wks and asked whether i'd be interested in receiving some information by mail.
