Congrats Ejax5! Look forward to seeing your new mods..a LCI Aero kit perhaps?

Have got a few things lined up...
- wind / rain deflector shields
- car tinting
- boot area sunscreens / sunshades (got the rear passenger ones already)
- trapezium tail pipes
- colour-coded wheel arches
- colour-coded front & rear plastic (hate black plastic as it wears to dark grey and detailing it is such a time waster)
- gloss black kidney grills
- mud flaps
- lower spring kit

With the AUD so strong, the parts are cheap from overseas even with shipping.

Hi EJAX5 if you are interested I have modified my X5 extensively and might be able to point you in the right direction on some of the changes you're planning.

EJAX5 where in the US are you sourcing accessories from? getbmwparts.com? any others you would recommend?

Will they fit the 40d? I have has a close look at this and think you have to change the entire bumper due to the different moldings from the trapezoid pipes vs std round ones.

Have I missed something?

@ Huntertec - looking at lowering the springs. Have you gone through it?
@ MVDS - Yeah, thats the site and I compare the prices / shipping against pelicanparts.com.
As for the Trapezium tips, still waiting for them. They come with a bumper trim/mould that fits and aesthetically looks to suit. No new bumper required. You simply cut and 'pull-out' the old pipe / tips from the hole, then 'paint & stick' the new bumper trim, and then 'feed-through' the new tips and clamp / weld.

@EJAX5 thanks. Cant see trapezoid pipes on getbmwparts. Lets us know how it goes and post some pics. Very keen to do same mod.

EJAX5 RE: Springs. I went with Eibach srpings, Pedders did the work for me as you will obviously need a wheel alignment. I dropped it 30mm should have gone 40mm or at least 40mm in the rear as mine sits high with no spare etc (run flats). What wheels are you running? Mine has 20x10 fr & 20x11 re, lowering makes it look and handle that little bit better. I just came back from a drive down the old Hwy to Sydney it clawes the road, love it.

@Huntertec - any pics of your lowered X5?

Lowered X5

Show us your X5 P97 mine is a a late E53 (white) but you should still get a good indication. In the pics the tops of the tyres are shaded which makes it look a little higher than lt is. I'm fitting a big brake kit soon and will post pics.
