Will any of you guys look at hybrid when it does eventually land? I noticed that Porsche have just announced pricing for new Cayenne - looks like hybrid will clock in around the $160k mark ..but sounds well specced out compared to current model. That's a good thing as it will keep pressure on BMW to up the ante with X5 - esp given the competitive landscape .. good for everyone. Now if only we could get X5's (and other euro cars) at the price the US guys get them ! When you think about it, given the exchange rate, we're paying almost twice as much ..its just wrong ....

I think the price of BMW's and similar cars are the same almost everywhere outside the US and Canada. We are paying almost double here in Dubai as well.
The paying double part does get me, but seeing as how you are paying the price of a Lamborghini/Ferrari for a X5 is WRONG!!

Next time I'm gonna have to ask you to broker a deal for me lol

thanks, but as mentioned before its a matter of finding the right sales person, trust me we don't sit there for hours negotiating, the x5 final pricing for example was all over and agreed within 20 minutes, and that was over the phone.

if there other side is willing to deal, you will find common ground, however i have come across people that would not move an inch, in that instance i don't even bother and just walk away.

Plus haven't you bought a few cars off them? If so, that helps too due to return business.

Good momery, Anzer!

I used to put "Looking for quad tips in aus market" in my singature. I've just bought one set from eBay and they are not CHEAP at all. I'm not in the country atm so I just let them to hold until I return. will post some pictures when it's done.

Make me feel like using a car broker :D my problem is that every time I went to a dealer and saw the car, I would always want to just drive it home straightaway, and I couldn't hide it well

It will be interesting to see what the road tests say about the Cayenne hybrid. Most of the stuff you read about the Lexus RX400h hybrid is pretty scathing.

I suspect the only real threat will be to their own prestige brand, then again they are vw now ;)

Does anyone use Rejex polymer sealant on their X? I've only read good things about it. It supposedly lasts much longer than wax. I wanna try it but where in oz can I buy the stuff from?
