Nope ..I meant for S5 coupe or secondhand 911 ..

kids can just walk to soccer ....;)

Agree about Q5 though ..

when I loaded up a 3TDI Q5 it was over $100k :wow:

and the first time I took it around a roundabout it almost fell over

The new pepper should be a good seller if they get pricing right ..but not here for another 6 months I think ... they still can't beat the X5 diesel proposition though ... it just the best (when it all works!)

The Prado's engine even makes less power than a 2.0-litre four-cylinder BMW diesel. The only reason to buy the Prado would be if you want a capable off-road vehicle, or outback tourer. And then you'd be better off with a base or mid-spec so you could kit it out with aftermarket stuff without going over the GVM.

yeah thats what i thought when i looked at it. would kick the x's but off road but on road it wouldnt come close. the top of range is very well equipped but the finnish was gross. i actually preffered the middle range finnishes. one thing i was impressed with was all 3 rows have electronic adjustable seats. but that was as impressed as i got.

will be interested to see what the new vw/porsche SUV is like. would probably be the only other brand i would look at, unless you like the size of the q7.

As well as the big power difference, the Prado wallows and wobbles around like a drunken sailor on the road. I drove one of the new 150s the other day - it felt like all the tyres were flat compared to my E53 ... and I have 17s with all-terrain tyres and non-sport suspension!

Thanks anzer that's made me feel better about my purchase. And yes I am enjoying the x - headturner and great drive. lookswise the x was my choice over q7 and gl350, and after test driving the x I was sold. I wanted a white one like yours but the wife wanted carbon black. Great tint - wat brand / model is it? Is that darkest legal?

Congrats, looks Nice.

Regarding prices, I went to look at the new Prado the other day and was quoted over 92k for top of range :bustingup:wow:. Now I know its a very different vehicle, but if you can get the 35d for 112k driveaway with those options I know what i'd prefer!

The thing with Toyota though, is you never buy one without at least 10% discount off its RRP.

Not to mention the rather bland exterior. I reckon they have taken a backward step with the new prados.

I agree with Azer, it would be hard pressed to get a 35d at that price with all those options. I know because I got one, and I believe I got a pretty large discount but i'm still no where near $120k

whats the general consensus on finance rates? anyone been quoted by BMW recently?
