I brought my 01 530 from Peter Pan back in 01. They treated me just ok until I brought them a check to pay cash for my car then the treatment changed. I felt that they didn't believe an African American man could afford a new 5. Were they surprized I think so.
I've had all my service work done at East Bay BMW. And will have all my service work done there on my 03 X5. The service and treatment are excellent. Even though I'm closer to Weatherford I'd still go out of my way for excellent service. East Bay BMW A+++++ Weatherford treeatment is poor from my experience. I bought my car from BMW SF, they haggled like hell until I told them I was buying it from someone else at "$x", and they matched the price. Service wise, I think they suck big time. I have had to fight pretty hard to get some trims replaced under warranty. So I will be switching to another dealership for service soon.

BMW SF acts like they don't care their customers, very rude and silly.
I would go to PeterPan BMW or Stevens Creek BMW in Santa Clara. |

I have had an ongoing relationship with Peter Pan BMW in San Mateo. I have to admit my X5 has had some ongoing issues regarding "self leveling" and a small unfortunate accident with a loaner car but I will go on record to say: Peter Pan's BMW Service Dept. is probably one of the best in Northern CA. My service tech was very up front about issues and the service department are genuinely nice. They worked with me to trouble shoot, clarify, confirm my issues with my X5. Since Peter Pan BMW is an independent dealer I tend to believe that they do try to give 100% effort. I also have a buddy that has an 2005 M3 that prefers to go to Peter Pan BMW even though its a bit of a drive. Thumbs up for Peter Pan BMW. Pierre A. |

East Bay BMW
Hands down this is the best dealer to go to for service!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm a broker and we get worst treatment than the public when we take cars to the factory dealerships. East Bay treats you like you actually purchased a BMW and not a freakin skateboard!!!!!!!! I deal with Arron. Feel free to tell him Dan Williams sent you. There is nothing worst than receiving bad service when getting your car serviced........

I always go to BMW of San Francisco. I do keep hearing horrible stories about their service, but they're okay.
The first time I went there, they absolutely refused to change my headlights because of condensation. I had to 'prove' all the problems I wanted to have fixed. Well that was with the first assistant service manager I dealt with. After two more visits, I was reassigned another manager, Filipe Alfaro...I think that's his name. He was very nice and helpful. The first time, he offered to replace the headlights and a bunch of other stuff, including a steering wheel motor. He even gave me a new 330i to drive for a week or so. A couple of other times when I had to bring in the car because some of the things they 'fixed' malfunctioned, he gave me a full tank of gas and car detailing complimentary. If you go to BMW SF, find Filipe...he's really good at his job, although it takes some effort to get him on his phone. ![]() I've also been to Peter Pan. There's none of the bureaucracy as in SF. Went to get my rear light fixed because of a burnt bulb, they had someone come out with a new housing and fixed it right on the lot in ten minutes. But now I don't have documentation that it was replaced ![]() |
