Crevier BMW-Orange County, CA:Sales/Service/Parts
First of all, in terms of sales, Brad Lindenstein has been quite a profesisonal salesman and has gone beyond the sale of the car for me many times in the past 4 years. I have referred over 10 people (friends and family members) to him and they all have bought cars from him. If you are in a market for a BMW and live close to Crevier, I highly recommend you deal with Brad and tell him I sent ya. My X5 is obviously out of warranty now. However, I can tell you that finding the right service advisor made the biggest difference. For the most part, they took great care of our X5 and us. Crevier has grown in the past 4 years and it has growing pain, but they are doing their best to accomodate....They still have Saturday service appointments!! Recently, I have had excellent service with Christopher Zappia when it came time to deal with maintainance and warranty issues with our new M3. He is quite motivated and gets things done. BTW, if you reserve your service appt. in advanced, I have always had a BMW loaner (ranged from various 3-series coupe, sedans, wagons, Z3, 5-series sedan, and even a X3). Parts dept.: Many know the guys/gals there....Kudos goes out to both Art Corona and Teresa Hilstead. Friendly and quite helpful! Hope this helps!! the touchy subject of the almighty Crevier BMW of Santa Ana:
glad you have a good relationship with those guys over there...but I wouldnt be the first one to tell that them numero uno Crevier sometimes just dont give a rats ass about who you are and what bmw you mite wanna buy. very few (if none) sales guys will come over and talk to you if you walk the lot. and yes, they do see you just like you see them. if you try to ask for a deal, they send you packing, they are too proud to give discounts. which to a certain level, i can understand, they dont need to discount their cars...but basic greeting to customers on the lot, that you cannot excuse. we all tried at some point to buy a car from crevier, but for the last 5 bmws we bought, we just gave up. i collect horror stories about being mistreated both by the sales and service departments by a lot of BMW and BMW potential owners. The last instance was my sister being stranded with the M3 and it was towed to Crevier. They categorically refused to give her any type of loaner or rental (it was closing time). I called my sales manager at BMW of Riverside and he made a phone call, it was done, she came home with a loaner. Its just sad that I had to resort to that though. As for the parts department, Theresa and Vaheh are real class acts. So no problem there. They both ROCK! my two cents... kirk

Naw....I just stated that I had a great relationship with one sales guy. Can't speak with the rest of the sales.....However, Savage BMW in your neck of the wood was downright rude and stated that if we needed a deal that we should go to Lexus or Toyota instead!
As I have stated, they have growing pain and their policy is loaner cars only for people who have bought cars from them nowawdays. I only recommended certain people at the dealership and give them props, but noticed I didn't give the entire dealership props. I guess once you become #1, you have no where else to go but down... Funny, my family has bought about 6 or 8 cars from Brad. I got my 528 from him, my brother in law got 2, my in-laws got two, and there are a few more there somewhere. He's the bomb! Glad to know Brad is still the man at Crevier!!

ha ha ha ha yah Savage is only nice to me coz I spent 20k with them on the supercharger, other than that, you are right, I did find their sales guys plain rude. I get hookups w/ parts through the Parts Manager, so I save myself the trip to Crevier most of the time. Savage is willing to discount their parts.

I have to agree that it's a hit and miss with the sales guys as well as service advisors. I guessed it depends on the time of the month you go shopping In general, my experience has been that Crevier is just average which is still better than the rest of the dealers in the area, which includes Irvine, Sterling in NPB, Shelly, Pacific, Santa Monica, Long Beach, New Century, Assael, Savage, and even BMW of Riverside...all of which I had the displeasure of dealing with at one time or another during my purchasing adventure last year. The thing is, I wasn't even asking for an outrageous deal ($1500 over invoice for a 3.0i)!
I'm not that impressed with Crevier's service either. In order to get a loaner, you basically have to make a reservation 3-4 weeks in advanced. And they always try to hit you for all "5s" on their evaluation. Their works are just OK...nothing to write home about. I remembered I had to return at least 3 times during my running board installation with them because they simply can't put on those rivets correctly (either missing rivets or rivets loosely fitted on). I still can't find an advisor that knows what he is talking about and I keep seeing new faces each time I'm in for service. To this date, I'm still trying to get them to reprogram my alarm such that it will only activate/deactivate with the remote only...and they just flat out tell me that it can't be done every single time. Then they keep telling me that they don't have an "oil and filter" only change, but only a $150 "oil service". Needless to say, I'm still searching for a good independent shop for "in-between" oil changes as well as future out-of-warranty works. Any recommendation for a good indy shop in OC? |
