In DC/NoVA area the cops will nail you for using the cell phone - about six years ago I was in downtown DC, looking for one of the gov-t buildings for a meeting that we were having, and I was on the phone with a guy who guided me through.. At one of the traffic lights, as I was getting ready to move, I saw a dozen cop cruisers throwing their cherry-tops on, I thought there was an ambulance or something... yeah, right... they were all over me... for the cell phone thing... lol...

Otherwise, I use old, plain google maps with traffic overlays...

This particular device is supposedly capable of telling the onboard Nav about the traffic jams and make an attempt to reroute...

but the cost of testing is too much... I am hoping some of those fellas in Lithuania will come up with something... lol...

And we have another person in denial. Try the waze app, you don't even have to look at it, for it to tell you that cops are standing right around the corner. I plug it into my Aux port, and off I go.

i guess my phone lacks few points on IQ scale, as i can't get the waze, it just won't recognize my phone as being smart... so, it is confirmed, my phone is stupid!!! lol...

Slick, you have latest nav disks, MK4, BM53 (unless you changed the radio)... what happens if you try to change your country settings from US to EUROPE? will you gain the even numbers in the frequency line up? also, will "TMC" appear at the bottom of the screen? I think the nav has to be coded in europe as well... One thing for sure is that you will lose your preset channels, so before you go into service menu, keep in mind you have to redo the channels for your buttons.... I can't do it with my radio...

I really don't use my radio. So I can give this a try. When I updated my firmware with the UK version, every thing is now in British language. I get the whole roundabout thing. lol.
