Yes I'm joking. It was in essence a typo, I was thinking about Singapore and wrote that by accident.

Enough said!

imo opinion the lack of stunning wheels on the X5 ///M (in comparison to when the 4.6is was introduced with it's 87's) aren't much of an aesthetic issue with me. The wheels serve a functional purpose in being lightweight, a performance measure and trade-off i can live with.

All it requires is a little imagination...if one can afford this beast, they can certainly mod to their taste.

Auto experts are predicting that China will be the biggest auto market in world in few years, bigger than US....go figure.

I heard last year that NYAIS experienced a break-in at the Javits and there was some theft, not of autos but parts & accessories. Can't speak on Shanghai but i assume security was probably tighter at NYAIS. However, i believe there was an X6 ///M on lower level at Javits that the public could access.

I was at NYIAS with my kid on Thursday. Security was EVERYWHERE, up the wazoo. In the space of 10 minutes, I saw 5 or 6 heavily armed SWAT police with MP5s, NY State Troopers, and multiple NY State K9 units with beautiful German Shepherds. I spoke to one of the troopers, he told me his dog was both patrol and explosives. I went last year as well, and I spoke to one of the Lamborghini spokesmodels. She said the 1st day they were letting folks sit in the Lambos, but then some a-holes started cutting up the leather inside with switch-blades, so they cordoned everything off. All it takes is a couple of bad apples to ruin it for millions of others.

[QUOTE=X5 Meister;609686]Some observations:
4. Good idea to launch in Singapore as opposed to the NY Auto Show like the X6 M, since the car is made in Singapore and that is its largest market.

THE CAR IS MADE WHERE? Are these not going to be made in Spartanburg, SC, USA???
