mileage before the 1st issue was reported. With a buy back though, you will get all your payments, cap cost reduction, tax, license, etc so you will still come out with some money in your pocket. You should be getting the buyback agreement with the dollar amount.

Per my conversation with BMWNA, this is a provision that allows BMWNA to "recoup" some of the cost of the vehicle buy back and varies from state to state. Any ideas on what I am looking at here?

I had a buyback for a 4.8. No mileage fee (I had about 1600 miles), just signed papers and had a new vehicle. When I researched the "buyback" process I did see that some people paid a mileage penalty, others did not. Good luck. Hope it is resolved soon.

Have you been making payments? I don't know the specifics but seems to me that you either pay the payments or mileage. Not both. Would that be fair?

I should clarify. Mine was a purchase, not a lease. I don't know if that makes any diff.

I spoke with BMWNA and they said that was, in fact, correct. No one bothered to tell me that before, and to be honest, I wouldn't have thought they would repay the money paid into the lease. Don't know why, just didn't. So, looks like this may be coming to a close. Will know on Monday. Merry Christmas guys. Thanks for the info and advice.

That would be the ultimate Christmas present for you. I hope it works out, and quickly.

So, here we are tuesday evening and no word from BMWNA or the dealership. I am beyond fed up with delays. They are eight going to Lemon and buy back the car or they aren't. It isn't that complicated.

I informed them today I do not want another X5M. There is a 2011 in my market with same issue already. I am requesting to be made whole, with the option of an ED in May if I decide to buy a 7. Oterwise, I will be getting a Cayenne Turbo.

Does anyone see any problems with this request? I don't think this is unreasonable at this juncture. My vehicle has "malfunctioned" 8 times in past 5 days.

I think you have more chance of a successful outcome with BMWNA if you are buying another BMW.

I also think lots of managers take time off at Christmas, and decision-making slows down. I would take a deep breath and wait a week.
