That's a terrible thing to say? How can you say that?

An X3 is not a man's or woman's car. While it happens that there may be more male X5 drivers than X3 drives is irrelevant since not all drivers go online to forums like these.

And furthermore, many men would pick the X3 over the X5.

In my area (Central/Southern NH) I'd say that about 75% of X5 drivers are women... So it's not just the "big boys".. But I'd say it's about 50/50 with the X3. I've noticed in the Boston area, though, that a lot of men drive X5s.

I've seen 2 dudes and probably 25-30 women in X3's around here, including my neighbors who like clams.

In vegas too..

Las Vegas my dealer says that the X5 is very strong with female buyer's and X3 with the younger crowds male and female.

I still believe cars are made for the drivers taste you may fall in love with a car thats is mostly design for older people like the Cadillacs or the younger public like the Mini's.

Its a matter of taste not sex.

I highly disagree.

X3's chick car
X5's chick car mostly, but more guys drive them than x3's.

at least around here that's the story.

Naaaa. The "smart" boys ride in the X3 with bigger volume on the inside for our gear and toys, and handling that makes the X5 feel like grandma's station wagon in comparison. Plus we get to keep more pesos in our pants so we can buy more toys

In all seriousness, the X5 is the hauler. The X3 is the "Driver's" car.

You got this one all wrong,

Cause i got a 4.6is and the handling is almost identical to my CLK, it has speed sensitive steering and wider tires and dual ventialated brakes front and back. I agree though, that the trunk space for the X5s are very limited, but i think they intended this Sport ACTIVITY Vehicle as opposed to a Sport UTILITY Vehicle.

and since the X5 is Bmw's only flagship truck, they have taken the trunk space into consideration and you will be able to see the changes in this coming years Model.

I had 2 CLK's prior to this X5. The first CLK was the 320 (6 cyl), and the second was the V8 430. Both were kick-butt vehicles that were a lot of fun. I have to say, however, that the X5 4.4 is also mucho fun! Especially when I put the tranny in Sport mode and kick it a bit.

?????????? What ??????????????

An X3 can not outdrive, out sprint or out perform an X5. Tell me you saved money, tell me you didn't need the additional cargo room, tell me you kick my butt at the fuel pump... but don't tell me you chose the X3 because it's a better driver's car.
