I have had the BSW speakers and subwoofer for many years. At that time the sub was in a large enclosure. It takes up more space that I would like. It delivers lots of base but it would be nice to have it either in a smaller enclosure or some other place out of the way. The set at that time included an amp. I have had no problems.

I thought all of the BSW sub setups included amps? Mine did... 250w rings a bell, but not sure. It's the one I mounted in the A/V rack in the driver's rear access panel area.

Could have been, I don't remember, I just know what I have so that is all I referenced. My subwoofer enclosure is 2'x1'x9". Since I never use the back for storage it's big but no big deal. I don't remember amp watts but it is certainly in excess to my needs.

Gotcha.

Have pics of yours? Didn't know BSW made a sub setup for these that fit anywhere besides the right rear hatch. Also... is it 8" or 10"?

I hadn't... until I saw a picture of an X5 that had it done. Now I'm not sure. LOL

- Got Forgestar CF5V 20" Wheels installed. See this thread for full details and specs: http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...ml#post1069025. Ended up saving quite a bit of weight and they feel much better than the old OEM Style 168's paired with run flats. $1859

- 285/40/20 Nitto 420 front tires installed. $410
- 325/35/20 Pirelli PZero rear tires installed. $282.63

- Had the truck fully paint corrected and OptiCoated. They did a great job IMO. Front end could still use a repaint, but at least a lot of the swirls and scratches came out so it looks as good as the rest of the truck from 5 feet away. $800







March 4-6, 2016

- Installed a new rear license plate mount. PO (or dealer) had stripped one of the mounting holes. Had to do this on every used BMW I've ever bought. Seems people just shove whatever screw they have available into the M8(?) threading. (51188238061) $36.28

- Installed a new set of OE wheel locks to protect my new wheel investment. I'd probably make out like a bandit if they were ever stolen... but who wants the hassle. (36136773191) $54.00

- Replaced a brake caliper anti rattle clip that was missing since vehicle purchase. (34116757037) $20.10

- Installed BMW OE 60mm wheel emblems, or plaques as BMW calls them. I just don't prefer aftermarket center caps for some reason. Personal taste thing. (36131181105) $18.36

- Installed Brake Motive Drilled/Slotted brake kit with Stoptech (came with the Brake Motive kit) Ceramic Pads. Front Rear Drilled Slotted Brake Rotors and Ceramic Pads BMW x5 4 6IS 4 8IS | eBay $233.88

- Installed new OE Pex Front and Rear brake pad wear sensors. (34351165579 & 61131393742) $20.85

- Painted calipers/brackets with VHT Burnt Copper Ceramic paint. 3 Cans Brakleen, Used 1 can VHT High Heat Primer, 2 cans VHT Burnt Copper, 2 cans DupliColor High Temp Clear. This took a considerable amount of time between the cleaning (oh god the cleaning), masking, and dry times. The actual brake job would have taken a couple of hours, but I wanted some extra bling behind the new wheels. A HUGE shoutout to my buddy Eloy (same guy who helps me with wheels/tires) who came down from Houston to help me out with this little project. His dog d*ck red C5 Corvette inspired the color choice and project. I'm sure I'll be reciprocating the assistance on his E30's suspension swap in the near future. ~$65

Sorry, I missed this. It's a 10" sub. I'm guessing without looking it up that my purchase was 8 or more years ago. They have long since discontinued what I bought. Do you still want a picture? I can take one if you do.

If it's no trouble I'd love to see one. I bet your 10" sounds great and is perfect for the X5 with those dimensions you gave. Also bet it would leave the rest of us who have the 8" driver wanting.
