Sorry for the delay. I intended to get another dyno run in this weekend on the hybrid tune but I got another o2 code. This time on bank 2, both pre and post cat. I'll install them this weekend and with luck get to the dyno sometime this coming week.
There's also talk of headers that post much bigger gains than Dinan so fingers crossed on that. P.S. My wife recently told me that from our condo, she can hear me from a lot further away than before the swap. The kid in me likes this but I don't know if I want to be that guy in a nice neighborhood. I'm still pondering a switchable silencer of some sort like BCredliner has. Oh well, down the road.

![]() ![]() By the way, did you change the intake manifold to one from a non-vanos V8? That was one of the very first mods I did to my 540 in like '01 or '02. Really lets it breathe up in the stratosphere! Any of our non-facelift v8 brethren on the board can do that mod. Though you sacrifice a little low end torque for the higher end HP. I have a dyno around here somewhere with the intake manifold as a mod.

Pretty!
Something like that. The 4.6 has the m60 manifold you're talking about and I can use the n62 tb and a golf MKIV maf to open up the front/top but I'll need something to get the air out of the engine faster. Yes, dyno, please!

I haven't replaced the o2 sensors yet for a final dyno, I will.
So, not a really ground shaking update but something I've wanted to do since the 4.6 arrived: So the engine sticker was pretty much hanging on by its last bit of glue when I first saw it and it came off at the lightest touch. ![]() So I scanned it and played with the settings to get a better proof for the acid etching on a replacement stainless plate. ![]() The final proof: ![]() Now, this will go off to a local shop and with luck, I'll have a new engine plate that stays with the engine for life. I won't have to worry about it falling off. I'll get the plate in a day or two. Now the question of where to place it...

Ok that is cool. How are you attaching this, and where would you place it? Somewhere visible I hope.

Not sure and not sure. Acoustic cover, pop rivets?
