Agree. The auto took the lead, generally speaking, in the later 2000's... when 7 speed autos were starting. Now, as redliner stated, virtually all autos are faster than their manual counterparts.

546i... I think Bimmian does custom badges, and you can get them in different finishes/fonts if desired. I know they do the OE font as well.

Well, that's cool. I might need to check that out. Thanks!

I just looked at them, cool. I think 546is or 546isT might work.

Like I said, get what you can. If you can find a buyer then more power to you.
Sold for $1,300. I think the recent dyno run helped. No accessories, no v/c's. He's putting it in a range rover.

I think you're right. Good fetch for that engine, especially without accessories and VC's. Nice to help put a little $$$ back in the kitty too I'm sure.

A little pee came out, of me not the car. I'm 20 miles into it's life and although the tune isn't in the computer, I can tell there's power in there waiting to get out.
It sounds great. I'll get a video up shortly. Then, there's a secret plan for something wonderful that I don't want to divulge at this time but I'm dying to. Its something that the e53 community can take advantage of if it works out.

James more than earned a Cuban cigar for his efforts.

I'll top off the coolant tomorrow morning and record the start-up.

Now as for that secret:

Still some things to be worked out but if all goes well with the flashing of the tune (thinking of doing a dyno run on the 4.4 tune and then a week after the 4.6/4.4 Terraphantm tune)
I'll let you know about the potential addition to this engine that might squeeze out more than a handful of ponies. Stay tuned.

So nice. Love the way those VC's came out.

Such a stealth setup too... "Hey nice M62, with it's 280hp." You, "M62 yes, 280hp... not so much." Looking forward to videos.

The best part is there's really no break-in. I hate patiently waiting and the oil changes... Before seeing what you've got for the effort.

If my plans work out (secret squirrel stuff mentioned above), I'll be racing M5's for the right to keep the badging. I lose, mine comes off. If however they lose... Their's comes off.
