^Looks like an e46 sport wheel... could be an m3 wheel but is lacking the stitching.

ugh...
Steering wheel swap is becoming a bit expensive now.
I received my facelift 3 spoke heated sport wheel for FREE and my airbag still cost about $500 CAD so yeah expensive... but so worth it since its the only thing you really touch with your hands.

I used another P/N for my steering wheel, I have posted it in another thread that I can not find, but it still cost the same for that airbag. availability was an issue for me at the time.

honestly, stick with the facelift e53 wheel you have. its thicker than the e46 M3 wheel. I had that too on my e46 and as nice as it is, its dated looking comapred to the e53 facelift sport wheel you have.

Mine is a Msport wheel out of an E39. Much thicker than the stock sport wheel, as well as a slightly smaller diameter.

I'd still prefer the facelift sport wheel over it though.

NYCSterling, I tracked my original thread about different airbag numbers down. have a read.
http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...atability.html

I have the worst memory in the world, but I BELIEVE I got the part ending in 7095... it fits, but only thing I notice is I have to press the very bottom of airbag for horn sound to activate (for the 3-4 times a year I do use it).

I wonder what's the difference between these two, other than the heated option. Are both airbags interchangeable here?

The airbag is a totally different shape. It will not work.
