Nope. Hot glue will not hold. I don't like gluing drivers in but if I had to, would tack it in place with a couple of hot glue dabs, then run a bead of silicon gasket maker around the perimeter. That stuff won't come off until you want it to. LoL, and sometimes not even then.

Agreed, hot glue will get brittle and sometime, in the near future, you’ll be driving along, hit a bump and hear it fall into the door panel.

I would go with the gasket maker as well, and if you can, maybe a zip tie or two at the top and bottom

Thanks crystalworks and purplefade - I ran some gasket maker around the inside

I am swapping the front mid range speakers with Memphis 2.75” and am wondering if I need the resistor from the factory mid setup?

NEVERMIND - saw the info on post #22 of this thread

Just picked up a set of Infinity Primus PR6510CS components and the Memphis PRX275s based on all the recommendations in this thread. Keeping the stock head unit for now, but may consider swapping the DSP subs in the future.

Was it a Yes or No on the factory resistor?

I read through the whole thread including post 22 but I think I missed that detail.

Resistor is YES. I kept it on the factory wiring and soldered to the speakers
