I haven't done anything with the hdtv module. Its connected but where I live I couldn't pick up anything and got side tracked on all the other parts.

I haven't decided where to mount it. I thought about one of the rear side glass panels. On the back glass would probably annoy me but again haven't decided yet.

Well finally some good news the ibus interface arrived today.

Now I need to find a wiring diagram for the two connectors that went to the factory nav display as I am hoping there is an ibus line there so I don't have to run a cable to the rear of the x5.

When I figure out if and where an ibus wire is in one of those connectors I will install it.

Pin #6 (WS/GR/GE) on the old blue display cable X18801 should be the I-Bus.

On mine it looks like the blue connector pin #6 for ibus.

Then 2 and 7 for power and ground.

If those cables are still live after removing the stuff from the back

Well I went outside and looked at the radio and decided the damage I did to my arm fooling with the generator when the power was out from this weekends hurricane makes my arm hurt WAY to bad to operate a screw driver let alone handling the radio without dropping it, moving the gps antenna which I need to do during this and soldering ibus interface wires.

It made it to the console at least

Maybe I will feel like doing this tomorrow. Sorry but my arm is killing me.

I always wondered why they called the mountain my house is located on lizard scrape mountain.

Didn't take long to figure it out though. These guys are everywhere.

This one went to town with me it seems and was irritated the food was taking so long at the drive thru.

Oh one thing that was really cool he was blue and green stripes when I noticed him at the red light sitting on the passenger mirror trim.

Notice how he turned grey to match the x5's paint

Despite my (bad) pun using the term "skink" I'm pretty sure this is actually a green anole lizard.. and yeah, they can change colour like a chameleon.

Here's a juvenile...

Nice navigator... better than an alligator..
