On a side note it did say 6am when I first turned the key on but as soon as the radio finished booting it showed "Crowz BMW" then the time and the time was right at 6pm.

No big deal but I hate people that say "Its PERFECT" even when they find nit picky stuff wrong. So this is the only bug I have found so far and will post more if I run across anymore.
Set the clock to 24-hour format and call it done...

Speaking of, wpoll... If you have your factory nav/screen set to 12hr, does your date always change to US format? If I do 24hr, then I can have dd/mm/yyyy, but if on 12hr, it reverts to mm/dd/yyyy.
It does this in my X5, the Mrs X5 and my E38.
Drives me nuts.
You'd think in the 9 years between my E38 and my E53 they would've sorted it!

Never noticed that but I never use 12hr time. I don't have factory nav - only a MID but yeah, it does the same thing - just went out and checked. How odd...

With 12hr time mode set the date reads 10/17/2017
With 24hr time mode set the date reads 17.10.2017

Yup... totally stupid.

But I'm glad it's not just me!

Jeez, don't start that thread! What with gun control and oil threads, I don't think the forum can handle the load!!

LOL

I can see it now the great date debate !

I have to deal with the different date formats for customers I host sites for. Having people from the usa and Europe on the same servers can make for some fun configuration changes at times.

I of course being an American mutt want mm/dd/yyyy but I don't think twice now about having to swap it around.

Also for so far not anymore weird am/pm issues since the changes.

Wife was checking out the install of the app and was asking "Since when does it know its your X5 and not mine."

I was like what?

She said its keeps telling her "Crowz BMW" on the cluster display when she cranks the X5

Got to love that.

I work with international dates a lot in my day job too and for years I've used UNC dates exclusively - saves confusion, especially in computer systems. If I can't UNC use format, I use dd-MMM-yyyy i.e. 18-Oct-2017.

In UNC format, today is 2017-10-18.

*edit* strictly speaking its not UNC, it's ISO 8601....
