The triple blink and lock/unlock options both work well. I haven't used the corner lights option.

The app installation is detailed a page or two earlier step by step.

I will clean it all up and add it to my website tonight hopefully. Just woke up so will be a little later today at least.

My radio is running android 7.1. I need to try it out on an older version of android to make sure what all it works with. Others have it too so maybe they can chime in with their android versions.
Works fine on Android 5.1

Works fine on 6.0.1 also.

I have installed the ERISIN model ES6905B. I believe they're all pretty similiar if not re-badged (see https://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Hui_Fei_Type for further details).

Just a couple of issues but features far out weigh these minor bugs...
  • Reports the car as being an E38 petrol when it should be E53 diesel
  • The graphic of the vehicle that shows when doors/sunroof are open is set for left hand drive vehicles only.
  • Auto unlock of doors when handbrake on or key off doesn't seem to work for my E53 - anyone else?
GPS reception is fine when attached to the bar inside dash behind the head unit. I was even able to lock-on to about 10 satellites whilst underneath my tin-roof carport in our driveway .

Built-in microphone is OK (not great). I would love to know if anyone has managed to utilize the built-in OEM microphone on the overhead light console and what the wiring requirements are ?

My auto-unlock with key and handbrake works fine in mine.

Interesting, might have to play around with it again to see if it sticks. Does you vehicle-info get reported correctly?

Thanks

It shows as an E38 petrol. I don't think the developer has coded any E53 specific details in but most of the E39 stuff works. If you join their Facebook page that I linked earlier, you'll find a special build for the diesel engines. It shows more detailed diesel specific OBD info. Might be worth trying.

On to it. Translation is pretty good but would be nice if I could speak/read German .
Thanks Txyaloo!

Beware of the erisin site. They are running a bitcoin miner in the background using visitors computers to make them money.

This is the file that is loaded when you go there.

Its not the person that posted this its the company erisin that is selling the radios.

I was going to wire into the factory microphone up top on mine but everyone tells me the sound is great on the built in mic so I didn't bother.

Seems to be a hit or miss on the android radios when it comes to the built in mic. Some of mine were horrible and I had to use the external but the seicane seems to be a good one mic wise.

Sorry guys, I did not know about the ERISIN site (the bit coin mining thing).
Have tried to remove links to that site where possible but I can't where people have replied and quoted.
Sincere apologies.
