If the battery was installed backwards it would try to start backwards not actually work.
Minor voltage drop when adding load is normal: voltage drop on the wires due to current. Did you find the trans failsafe reset procedure? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

In the new thread. A follow up to my post said it's not a valid procedure but it worked immediately for me when I got trans fail safe due to loose alt cable I'm working with a pretty small sample size (one)
