They will still flicker on startup unless you turn off the cold check function in the LCM. My LED license plate lights and reverse lights were CAN bus ready and this just omits the hot check error.

Indeed OB. Will need some cold check tweaks once I confirm how the bulbs look visually.

It’s a subjective opinion. I need to see how bright or not it looks in person

Oh for sure. I just meant the not having to install a resistor for proper signal function. I coded most of my voltage/cold monitoring checks off for all bulbs on my truck. I think the only ones I left were for the brake lights.

LED Bulbs for tails

I know you mentioned you don't like aftermarket full replacement but they are several kinds and I have these and I'm pretty happy with them:

It has fiber optic tubing inside and mimics the celis style found on E39s.

Yes. Did not like aftermarket. Not because it’s not -OE-
Just led bulb size, density , visually for me does not look good.

Post a pic . Be curious how a -real life pic - looks though

I'll try, hard to capture with phone.

One thing I don't like either is that the reverse light extended all the way. But I can live with that then the crazed oe lights I had.

Let us know if the brake force display works with those too. They should have single bulb brake lights under normal braking and the second bulb for BFD.

From what I can see it does not, both the bottom and top light up when I ask a friend to tap the brakes while parked.

Since you have a 2005 and LCI facelift, I would expect you should have BFD. It may be the way the aftermarket lenses are wired.
