Hi
I got those 2 injectors back after overhaul from the workshop. After installing the car has started now, but there is too much black smoke coming out from the exhaust. Any idea why? |

Were those injectors refurbished by a reputable shop and did you get a measure sheet for those? Any trouble codes? What are injector correctional values with diagnostics? Are you sure you put everything like they should so there is not for example a boost leak causing this?

Yeah they are refurbished by a reputable shop.
Yeah they gave me the measure sheet. Dont know anything about trouble code need to take it to the workshop for that. All the clamps around manifold are tighten properly. Someone told me that injector needs to be in a certain position otherwise that can cause black smoke. Another mechanic told me it need to reprogram by a workshop since its overhauled. Is that right? |

Did you remember to put back the plug on boost pressure sensor at the rear end of intake manifold? That's the most common thing to forget. |

I just checked it again and its connected.
I do see some smoke from manifold area when I start the car but it goes away. Is it possible that I need to change all the o-rings in manifold? It has been out in the cold since Christmas time. |

Difficult to say where that smoke is coming from. Usually those intake manifold gaskets work just fine even if you don't renew them.

Do in other words I should take it to workshop and have them read fault codes to find out the smoke from exhaust problem

Well without trouble codes (and injector correctional values) it's quite difficult to go further if you say that everything is installed back as they should.

Was the inlet manifold pipes gunked up with carbon deposits ? Perhaps some were knocked off when you removed/reinstalled the manifold. I did my best to clean all mine before reassembly (with a vacuum to try and stop crud falling into the openings) but mine still smoked for a good few minutes when I first started it. The good news is the deposits should be soft enough not to cause valve/piston damage, but burning them creates the black smoke you talk of, but they will burn away - or did in my case.
