Dead battery. Replaced with new. Now won't start

I am having same problem with ews as lo_jack. I installed new battery and tried to register battery with Foxwell (before I found out you don't have to on e53) and now the POS is dead in the water. Scan says EWS is the problem. I bought an adaptor and got the inpa software. Mine is not working. when I got to do alignment I get errors.
1) language variants do not match. malfunction possible
2) versions do not match. malfunction possible
3)ApiResulttext: error #19 IFH-0009: no response from control unit Api job error or no such result continue script processing ?

Does anyone know what I'm missing on this ? I'm about ready to shove the POS off a cliff!!!
