You will want to replace all of the buttons when you do it as the transparency of these replacements is different. It only shows at night when you have the lights on, but it's noticeable. If your OCD is like mine it will drive you nuts.

Those are crazy different than OE.

Here's a nicer aftermarket one that is $70. ECS still has OE for $110.

Apparently they've changed since I bought them. The ones I got look better than the ones they're selling now.

So “only” about 1/3 of the buttons seem affected so far, I’m thinking I’ll just glue them on for now and deal with it later.

Do these button sets just snap on in place of the broken ones or does the whole front plate need to be replaced with it?

Day one in the log books for the M54 OPG. Easy to see how bad the OPG had gotten in 180,000 miles. I showed the wife the cracking of the inner rubber seal of the gasket and then dropped it on the driveway and it freaking shattered. The rubber insert was hard as a rock.

Anyway, I had the OPG out by noon and spent the rest of the day cleaning up the parts and hardware while the engine keeps dripping. I am hoping by tomorrow I might be able to start prepping the block surface.
