Look for "blower" or "heater blower" on the fuse diagram.

Three are a handful of different layouts so you have to look on yours in the glove box.

Did your light used to go off? Some don't. Wife's old build date 07/2000 the parking light was always lit.

Coincidentally also had the FSU problem on that car the picky symptom was dead battery over a day or two. Blower still worked all speeds.

My light did go off after 16 min previously along with the climate control fan. I sat in the car last night for over 20min and I could still see the shifter light lit and the climate control fan still lightly buzzing. Came out this AM and the light was still lit as well. I will find and pull the FSU fuse and see if it will goto sleep after.

FSU has no bus connection and can't directly cause any sleep mode problems.

Can you provide a list of CAN BUS connections or items? I've eliminated the most common. Mine still has a sleep problem. It started after the Feb Texas winter storm. As soon as I can put the X5 off driving duties for a short term, the GENIII module is coming out. I'm having it checked.

I went out the garage to throw the garbage out and the shifter light was off came back in through the garage and the light is back on. What can keep causing it to wake itself up?

Any module on bus systems can wake up the vehicle. Body module (GM3) is the master of controlling sleep mode so that and anything on the K-bus is the place to start.

How about the telematic unit? Aka the TCU or bluetooth module. It's known for causing a draw.
