Yeah, in retrospect I should have been more patient looking for used cats. I rushed into buying the new universal cats.

Hope all works out for you. I am not the authority of cars, trucks, etc… But I am fairly certain the Cats are for legal emission reasons. That said, I have never had a catalytic converter saws-all’d https://www.walmart.com/ip/Hyper-Tou...B&gclsrc=aw.ds off. Between software and hardware there’s got to be a work around.
25-50 bucks new… to do that much damage SMH

Also sorry im not around much. I don’t know if all the software is still around or if another user is selling it, they, them, etc… I’ve got a dedicated HP Windows Tablet edition running all of it for me. It’s harder to find the old version of Windows and the .dll files

I'm all good now, just that I've spent several hundred dollars unnecessarily - shipping costs of the new cats (to and fro). The vehicle feels like it has more power now and the exhaust doesn't stink like it used to. I think my old cats were getting clogged since I had smoking issues with leaking valve stem seals for a while, which I fixed. It's an ok outcome all in all.

It looks like the catalytic converter thief put his initials on the center muffler. Never seen that writing before and it looks fresh.

At least the Valve Stems on your wheels weren’t smoking on a brighter side

Finally got my money back for the new cats I returned - $1,280 from TURBOZENTRUM. All-in-all, the theft cost me $1,000 - shipping costs for the new cats and cost of used front exhaust with cats. I installed the exhaust myself. Folks, be careful where you park and keep watch - it takes minutes to saw off the cats off the 4.4 X5 (N62 and I believe M62 as well) - no lifting of vehicle. You could even touch the cats if you stuck your hand underneath the vehicle. The crooks are getting brazen by the latest cat theft in the news.

Welp. Given the way things are right now, I guess that's a reason to be grateful for the power robbing M54 header design.
