Been having this stalling issue on my e53 3.0 2002 this last several weeks. The x5 would start fine, put into gear and drive with no issues, its just when I come to a complete stop(which still runs/idles) and press on the gas that it stalls right away, not a struggle or anything, just dies. Restart the car and drives like no problem but might stall again if I come to another complete stop. Its a crap shoot if it stalls or not, sometime it does and sometimes it doesn't. It feels like if the transmission didn't shift down and hold a higher gear and stalls when I gas it. I have played in sport manual mode for a bit and downshift it to 1st when coming to a stop but not sure if it actually down to 1st. Not sure if this is relevant but my old man was playing around with the CVV before this happen and he doesn't think this is the issue
