Try it and you will be very happy with your pic posts as the pics will always be there for years to come - just attach, post and forget; no hosting image hustles and maintenance or costs. Here's an example of an old post with pics taken by my smartphone reduced by 85%. Note the high res and size of pics . Those pics will always be online.https://xoutpost.com/1155219-post20.html. On the other hand, have you ever come across those potentially valuable DIYs that are rendered almost useless when in place of images, you see only an "x" ?

I cut the pics from my current phone camera to 15% of their native size with MS Paint before posting. Keeps them under 100 kbytes.

Great info! What image format to do you save them as (.png, .jpg, etc)?

I save them as .jpg
Over the decades...I've learned to reduce/change images with large resolutions to approx 800x600 (many phone or camera images are like 2500x3000 or larger). Most times I just change the first dimension to "800" and let the image resizer do its thing. Like stated above...it prevents having images so large that you have to scroll left/right & up/down just to get some perspective of what you're looking at.

When I upload to postimg I have it resize the images to for a19" monitor comfortably. I forget what resolution that is. Bigger than those you guys use for sure. But I prefer larger images. Not scroll the page big, but bigger. I use a 32" monitor (1080p) in both the garage and the office (4k) and a 75" in the living room (4k) so screen real estate isn't usually an issue. But small pictures sometimes can be a problem. I'm sure I'm an outlier as most probably view the forums on a smartphone.
I'll DL tapatalk x5only and have a play with it. Certainly would make posting images from the phone easier. I commonly use pics from our dslr which is another reason for postimg.
