That's the one he's talking about... there is a removable ruberized plastic insert that sits in the top of it for when you're not using it as a cupholder. I use that as my ipod tray, so I can close the lid over it when exiting the vehicle.

Wipers up

I had my car keys in my pocket. The key buttons were pressed somehow. I noticed that the doors and windows were open, but also the both windshield wipers were up. Now, I don't have a clue how to do it again.

Does anyone know how put the wipers up?

Exclamation Change the head lights for left or right side driving

Hi Boys,
Few European or UK drivers have noticed that it is very practical to turn off the asymetic light when changing from left to right side driving in stead of putting tapes on the outside of the front glass. Read the manual. At least this feature is fitted on my 2004 December model. I do not know if this is available with the xenon lights.

Mine didn't. IIRC, in North America, E53s came with a holder for the flashlight, but not the flashlight itself (unless the dealer threw it in). Some model years didn't even get the holder.

Wait im a bit confused about the cup holder reply. There are the obdvious 2 cup holders behind the gear shift, but are you speaking about additional ones where the elbow rest is?

No, I was referring to the two (and only two) front center console cup holders just behind the gear shifter under the retracting sliding cover. A rubberized plastic tray fits over the top of this recess on my car and the last owner had no idea the hidden cup holders below it existed...

The post was for others who might not have found those otherwise "obvious" cup holders.
