Cool "Hidden" features of the E53 X5

Anyone have any they'd like to share?

I have a secret push button start in my '04 that I use daily:

http://www.xoutpost.com/x5-e53-forum/21704-cool-push-button-start-all-x5s-3.htm

I'm now convinced that only the models with an automatic starter (where you don't have to keep the key cranked to start the engine, so 4.4i an above) can do this. From the Manual in the section on starting the engine:

X5 4.4i: You BMW is equipped with the convenience starting feature.

The starter acutation continues to operate automatically for a certain period of time and is stopped automatically as soon as the engine has started

A common often overlooked feature is the dc socket up in the passenger side footwell.

I have my phone charger plugged in there. Similar to what is on trunk passenger side.

I want to disable this feature! Several times I have walked out to my X and all the windows are down... an invitation for articles in the SAV to be stolen. This happens because the key is in my pocket and the button gets held down. If the buttons were below the key's housing a bit more this wouldn't happen. Anybody else experience this?

Embarrassed to say that I just found out about this feature this past weekend. I've owned my X5 for about 5 months.

Instead of rolling up all the windows (sunroof too) before you get out of the car, turn the key in the door to the right and hold it there and they will all go up!
