Not necessarily so. I hooked up my Actron CP9135 and cleared the code. Drove about 25 miles and the SES light is back on. Hooked up my Actron and again, code P0348 - Camshaft Position Sensor A - Bank 2 circuit High Input.

I was told it is on the passenger side near the front/top of the engine. Did I replace the correct one? If so, now what?

I know it's been 8 years, but does anyone know if bank 2 is on the pass. side? Same issue here and want to replace the correct one '02 4.4i

On the M62, bank 1 is the right side of the engine (passenger) and bank 2 is the left side of the engine (driver).
