I just turned 106k yesterday, and execpt for a sensor, everything seems fine. And of course the window motor plastics that broke.

Forgot to add, I have only put on 22k in the last 3 years, so the vehicle doesn't get driven much. We have 3 other cars and 3 motorcycles to drive also.

I'm at 166K miles, but unfortuantely, the auto tranny went out about 30K miles ago, but I did change the tranny oil and who knows? Also, right cat converter needed to be replaced, but my O2 sensors were gone, prolly should have replaced the O2 sensor @ 100K miles....now, I'm not burning oil anymore like I did since the bad O2 sensors was making my engine run richer than it should....No cold weather related problems (e.g. oil separator) due to our local climate is quite mild.

Already went through 4 window regulators....but other than that, the X5 has been fine. The X5 runs much better with better fuel mileage since the cat was replaced.

my buddy has one with 215k miles 3.0 too.. never heard of a v8 with more then 165k miles
