Speaker issue! HELP!

Monday morning on my way to work I was listening to music when I started to hear some sort of interferance loud noise. Couldnt tell what it was until I got to work, and hoped into the back seat and automatically knew it was coming from the rear drivers side door. I didnt hear it at all on my way home.

Tuesday morning on my way to work I couldnt hear anything, and thought it was just some sort of glitch or something that just "went away. However yesterday after work the noise became incredibly loud, to where it almost scared me into a heart attack! Again didnt pay much attention to it and was going to check it when I got a chance.

This morning all my speakers arent working! I cant hear a little bit of static/interferance with the volume on full blast! WHAT DO I DO!? I dont even know where to start! Of course I just came off of warranty on 11.03.09!! Please if anyone has an idea please let me know!

got the same problem except only one door's speakers are out (3 speakers). I know exactly what you are talking about, at first I heard static and then loud pops, now nothing just a little static on full blast. I thought it was a wiring issue, then i realized that a capacitor wasn't making a good connection. I ordered more of the same type capacitors and still no luck. Still waiting a response from BSW, oh and by the way they got terrible technical support. Might have to wait until tomorrow for them to call me back

Gentlemen,

Is the radio knob orange light on? I has this happen to me. The Radio Module may be bad and that causes this problem. Go to BMW Real OEM on the internet to find the module. If you have any questions, let me know.

No my radio knob isnt orange...just the behind it thats normally there.

So I have no idea where to start! Like I said it was the one back speaker tuesday night, and now today ALL speakers (what is it like 10 speakers) are out, and can only hear some static. Its driving me insane! And of course it had to be 30+ days after my warranty expired!

I have spoken to Jeremy who has talked with you today. Your original voicemail that we received earlier today was sent over to my lead install tech. Unfortunately he is out of the office today but I did get a response from him via his phone/email that he will be calling you today. From what I understand from Jeremy is that this information was relayed to you when you called the 2nd time this afternoon? If that is not correct please let me know.

I want to help you directly but unfortunately I am not 100% sure on the problem you are experiencing and I want you to speak with the proper party so we can get you taken care of.

Honestly, and if you ask around on the forums, we have stellar customer service. We provide support for our customers and other vendors customers and customers that didn't even buy anything from us. Normally you would get instant help but while I like to think I have every single answer after being here for over 4 years I still need some support from the owners/install tech sometimes.

We will contact you and we will get it sorted out. That I can assure you. If anything else comes up please let me know directly.

I made it clear to Jeremy what the problem was. I even gave him simple instructions on how to solve the problem. All i needed was just for someone to look at the package that they send to people who buy the stage 1 audio kit for the x5 and read me what kind of capacitor was included. I need that capacitor sent to me that's all. It really frustrated me because until now my question isn't answered and today was my only available day for awhile to get work done on the car. I'm sure if he just gave you my number, you could have answered my question.

Our warehouse is not connected to our office. Our sound engineers are also not at the BSW office. I don't have an X5 Stage 1 to simply open and look at the capacitor. This is why I needed you to speak with my lead install tech. He has this information and best prepared to provide that information to you.

Has Jason still not contacted you?

Yes, Jason called me an hour ago, he was very helpful, sorry I guess I didn't realize that your business was pretty small.

I have exactly the same problem! Big noise then no sound anymore even though I have all the lights and functions working. As I have the basic system with no amplifier, I suspect that the radio module is bad, however nobody seems to be able to help for the moment apart that some are proposing to sell a new module...
I'm very interested to know what can be the cause, it would sound strange that all these modules are totally worn... Does someone knows if there is a fuse or something located at the module output?
