Hey no sweat man I'm glad this mod is going to good use (as we all know the rear wiper is far from useful)

If you have an extra plug I would PM X5SND and see if you can send him one, he was telling me that he is going to do the delete soon too.

I'd give him one but I was only sent 2 and actually ripped the plastic on the first one like a dumbass.

I have used these guys in the past. The plug is actually made from glass, and inserts from inside, meaning you get a perfectly flat and flush look.

Thanks for the link Smokey - they dont appear to be model specific so I just emailed them if they have one specific to our X. But in the meantime i ordered the ones from urotuning anyway.

No dramas,

I'm sure they'll be able to help.

When I enquired for one to suit my Mazda MPS (or Mazdaspeed3 as you guys call them in the states) they told me a VW plug would fit, and it was perfect.

When you think about it, there are probably 5 or 6 companies who manufacture wiper assemblies - the plug size required would relate to the brand of wiper motor used rather than the brand of car.

Good luck with it, let me know how you go!

(Also a tip, yes it's true that having no rear wiper can lead to some situations where you can't see so well out the rear window - like if the car has been sitting parked in the rain, or left out overnight and the window is covered in condensation. I found that applying a coat of RainX every few months made a huge difference.)

Good point on the wiper manufacturers. Hope to hear from them with good news within the week.

Good idea on the rainx. However we only get a coupe of days of rain here in Cali every year. In fact having owned the X for 5years now its never been in the rain. So I had no remorse removing the rear wiper

So, that is 2 "mods" that I don't understand, the other one is DRL's why in hell turn off the lights that make it easier for another driver to see you.....My thinking is that ALL LIGHTS SHOULD BE ON LOW when the DRL's are on
