HELP P1168 and P0141 CODES

Yes, WD-40 is safer.

The fuel rail sensor code could indicate a fuel pump failing, or a pressure regulation circuit failing, e.g., a fuel pressure sensor, as the code specifies. It could also indicate a fuel filter clogging.

What I find odd though is that it is only throwing the BMW-specific codes, not the generic OBD-II codes. Typically if you have a vacuum leak, you will get the generic P0171 for a lean condition.

Going back to your original codes, it seems odd to get those two codes simultaneously. Where did you get the explanation for the P1168 code? (Fuel Air or Fuel Rail Sensor) Every where I have looked, I see that "Fuel Air or Fuel Rail Sensor" is associated with FORD, but for Nissan/Infiniti P1168 is "Closed Loop Control (Bank 2)." I cannot find any source which says what it means for BMW.

I took my car to advanced auto parts and the guy told me to write down these 2 codes, the p1168 did not say fuel rail pressure sensor i googled to get that info, it actually said something else, I wrote it down so sloppy on a piece of small paper i could only manage to get " M.. Control Fuel Air M....." I don't know what the M's are i know I am an idiot the other code I wrote down is correct description, I thought if I googled it I would get the same info in different terms?? You think this is completely different than fuel rail pressure sensor?

The problem is that I don't know, but it might be.

It would be quite useful if anyone on the message board that has access to the BMW codes could confirm what BMW says a P1168 means. It might mean the same as the Ford description, but before doing any work, one really needs to be sure about the meaning of the code.

Ok so I found some bmw fault codes and there are two possibilites for the P1168. One is FRP sensor in range but low and the other possibility is Closed Loop Control (Bank 2). Any idea what that means, my buddy thinks the Other Code is a downstream 02 sensor gone bad, but not sure what this one is.
