If the X didn't exist, what SAV would you buy instead and why?

I do like the cayenne but have heard they are difficult to work on. mercedes don't do it visually but have heard they are marginally better in reliability. anything japanese is bullet proof but looks and feels like it's going to roll over in the turns. i dunno?

I probably would have gone with any of the following:

Honda Pilot, Nissan Murano, or the Audi Q5.

But i love my X5 because it looks better than all of them and the drive is a lot more pleasant for me.

Cayenne if it were the 2011, not so much a fan of the current styling. The merc feels cheap inside, the fx is cramped, RRS is sluggish and bound to break, mdx does it all with no passion whatsoever. Thank god the x does exist!

If the X didn't exist I would've bought a 5-series.
