It looks exactly like the e70 rear wiper set-up that I installed on my e53.

No problem...glad to help.
If you need tool info...refer back to post #98 (I believe its on page 10). I wrote down the tools I used...and Crystal works may have given some tips to. His latests posts between post #98 and this one is where to look.

Good luck.

The e53 rear wiper has a 46cm blade... I have found a few on Amazon that are e70 rear blade and arm where the blade is only 39cm. Has anyone who uses a smaller blade been bothered or even noticed the difference?

It is short, but it is on the rear window so no big deal. Question is will the larger one fit the aftermarket blade? Anyone tried the replacement blade path yet?

Its truly perfect timing that this did pop up on the forum as only yesterday afternoon did I tackle "why is my wiper blade not touching from 11-1 o'clock positions on window" only to find out that the metal hinge on the factory metal arm has seized so much from snow exposure that I had to actually scrape some calcium buildup and rust and lubricate like crazy to get the arm to flex again to put the proper tension back into the blade for cleaning... a plastic arm will not have the same concern, so e70 arm, here i come

PS: these e70 arms and blades are only $9 CAD on ebay, from China. may as well buy a few as spares incase they only last 6 months.

Nope...the slightly shorter rear wiper blade hasn't bothered me at all. The fact that the blade wipes 100% through its articulation from left to right...is preferable vs the issue I was having with the OE rear wiper blade that was not clearing the glass during part of its sweep across the rear window.

The price ($15 USD), the look (sleeker/more modern looking), and the efficacy (pressure & sweep of blade across the glass)...more than makes up for the slightly shorter length of the e70's rear wiper blade. This is a case where a few inches shorter...doesn't diminish the job getting done.

Agreed!! I LOVE Amazon next day delivery. So I just put mine on and measured and yes it's 50.8mm (2") shorter but upon testing it out, I too found it put pressure perfectly to clean the window with no wiper lifting 9ff the window at the usual 11-1 o'clock range.
Here are pics in case anyone is curious.
For $16 CAD I am thinking 8 may order 2 or 3 more just to have in stock as it's just as easy to replace entire arm as it is just a blade, which costs similar anyhow...

Ps: I KNOW I have to wash my vehicle. It was clean 3 days ago. Thanks snow! Going to wash again now tho

I seriously need to do this, the OE one does not wipe the top part!
