I'm fine w/ my rear wiper. I still wish the rear squirter didn't drool on the window, but maybe BMW did it for a reason since misting might have just went everywhere at speed...god knows it's windy back there and dust loves to stick.

I looked everywhere at it and finally took the cap off that covers the bolt. And there it was, the word - VOLVO. After a lot of web searching I found it. It's from an XC90. You need two parts:

Volvo #30699847 - XC90 2007-2010 Wiper Arm Rear w/Wiper Cover OES $52.33
VOLVO XC90 WIPERS WASHERS & RELATED 2003-2010 at Swedish Auto Parts (formerly TheVolvoSite.com)
(This is the arm and the cover, OES means Original Equipment Volvo Part)

You then need the blade:

Volvo # 30699848 - XC90 2007-2010 Wiper Blade Rear OES
(same link above). $16.41

For whatever reason this fits on my X5.

I need to get a new blade so I'll order one. Now the question is will other X5 owners put Volvo wiper parts on their car! I'm not removing it as I like it!

Why have you changed your mind? You said it doesn't do a good job at the top of its swipe path. Or did you re-check and found it's ok after all? Please clarify as I seriously want to do this upgrade. That wiper looks awesome!

I bought the new Volvo replacement blade and it works great. Was just worn out.

I visited a Volvo dealership and discovered the XC60 wiper is exactly the same size and shape as our X5's- 21inches long and with a slight curve and moves from the left to the right like our X5. It looks exactly what I wanted- E70 look-alike rear wiper. The big question is that will it fit in the bolt attachment? By the looks of it, yes it should fit. Does any one know if volvo has parts catalog like what we have on realoem.com?

Part 30753535 rear wiper arm price $66
Part 30753534 blade price $27

The dealer accepts returns as long as the wiper is not used. So next week I'm pulling the trigger and will let you guys know if it fitted or not.

Found this on the web with the wiper in action:

My rear wiper has been turned on once, in nearly 9 years, and that was when my/our buddy Kaefer
borrowed my X, in the rain, .

I guess I never noticed that it didn't look good.

To me it's appearance is like that of a beautiful lady with ugly sunglasses, shoes or carrying an old ugly hand-bag. That's just my opinion.
