Doesn't look fun. I had a blast tinkering with the M54 as it is so small in the engine bay. I didn't do valve cover gaskets on the X5 but I'm sure I could've done it easily.

Ok... Finished replacing the front wheel bearings and hubs. Did all suspension parts a month ago. My lady in red is getting all fours balanced and aligned. Change the tranny fluid two weeks ago and topped it off as well. She should be good for awhile.

Recovered the peeling A-pillar in black suede. Now both A-pillars match.

Removed the plaid fabric off of the wood trim and returned it back to the original wood. Some Goo Gone and a few microfiber towels later, it looks back to original.

I have to eventually take out the center console and remove the matte black vinyl. So much work to get rid of these things that have sentimental value to me. Too bad I don't drive it daily anymore. I get it for a week when my dad is away at least.

Then I did a mini Inspection II. Replaced the spark plugs, air filter and did an oil change. Need to take it to the indy for the fuel filter and an A/C recharge. I'm going to skip the microfilter. I also topped off the coolant and it was running low.

Finally I took out my angel eye wiring harness. Still trying to sell my headlights but without any luck.

Tomorrow brings more fun! Gotta renovate the interior of the car and get rid of my custom trim.
Based on how much you know about DIY, you should be able to replace your fuel filter and recharge your own AC. I did the AC myself for $30 including attachment (no sealant included freon)

I don't want to deal with gas and pressure though. And since the AC is a closed system, I don't have the tools to evacuate the system.
