I found a set of cats for under $500 on Amazon but before going that route I figured I would give the cat buffer a shot. 6mo punt so far on cat replacement. My theory is the DME is programed to squawk when cats get below 80-90% efficient, so they probably actually have a year or two of life in them just not at peak efficiency and that's exactly what I see in the live data coming off the post cat O2s.

The repeating "O2 post cat low efficiency" errors went away immediately.

Sporacingrts Angled O2 Oxygen Sensor Adapter Extender Spacer M18 x 1.5 90 Degree Bung Pipe https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07K9BSY4W..._lEa3HPNXA3o5G

The exact item I used. I had to bend a little bit of sheet metal to clear the part turning it in but the right angle let me out the O2 sensor in easier than normal.

My car started giving me “fuel trim” errors on bank two post cat O2, which I suspect is the beginning signs of my cat going out. mine and wife’s X5 are very similar to the same age in hours.

I still “owe you one“ For pointing out the transmission connecor being waterlogged, If you were a little closer I’d come put these magical little L extension on for you.

Cleaned it off and took it to a loosely organized event. We participated in a BMW drive by for a 18 year old fan’s birthday on Sunday. We had about 20 Bimmers of all different flavors, I was the only X.

So I finally got around to installing my wheelspacers that I ordered like two months ago. Please excuse the dirty car, I have a very dusty road leading up to the house and hadn’t had a chance to clean it today. 25mm up front, 30mm in the rear. I think it’s exactly what this car was missing!

On a side note, don’t let any girl ever tell you that 3cm doesn’t make a difference

If I’m not mistaken they should be the stock 4.8is 20” ones, 315 at the rear and 275 at the front.

Finally found them!!

New to the forum, but long time BMW fan!

I finally found a set of 168s to put on my 2006 X5. What a difference! They make the X5 really stand out.
