Have you removed the hinge from both the dash and the glovebox to see if it got a little torqued when you pulled it?

+1: loosen any hinge screws and wiggle things into place and tighten. (same for the screws that hold the fuse box)

What/Where is the hinge and/or hinge-screws? I didn't mess with the anything on the back of the glovebox. Just removed the six screws along the face and it dropped.

Are y'all talking about the two plastic screws that hold it along the bottom near the footwell light?

Just start with the screws that hold the fuse box. Sounds like something got pinched so I would loosen any screws then wiggle it until it fits and glove box closes. Use gorilla tape to hold it temporarily then add screws back in

Finally tried out an OEM Craiglist find. The OEM covers fit great.

Took some time today to unpack all the used and (one) new black headliner pieces and parts I've acquired to make sure they are all in usable shape. Everything looks decent and ready to be recovered in the new black headliner cloth this, or next month.

My new intake boot/cover showed up from Pelican so I popped it in this am as well. The old one was completely shot and no amount of epoxy would keep the uppper and lower halves together. It fit so tightly to the fresh air boot that I didn't force the two pieces together as I think trying to uncouple these parts is what must have caused the OEM piece to fail over the years.
Old piece:

New intake cover installed:

I buy them whenever I can off CL. E36, E30, E53, E70, etc... Everytime an owner trades a Bimmer in it/sells seems they unload the cover on CL/offerup/ebay/etc.

Best cover for bimmers IMO is the OE noah, or it's maker, I think CoverCraft. BTW, is that one you picked up an E70 cover? Seems to fit a little looser than my E53 cover on Red.
