Drove it home from the in-laws' house in a snowstorm, and stopped to help pull some stranded kids out of a ditch. The driver had lost control, spun around on the road, went through a ditch and a fence, and ended up in a muddy field. They were able to drive to an approach to get back on the highway, but weren't able to get past one last bump that kept them stuck. I had a tow rope in the back, and was able to get them most of the way out, but ended up breaking an end off the tow rope. Very nearly got stuck myself; it had been raining pretty steadily for the last ~20 hours, so the little bit of sloppy, slushy snow there was sat on top of mud. It was like driving on grease. The local law enforcement had shown up and was able to get a tow truck out there.

The X5 was covered in mud; it was fairly dry when we got home, so took it through a car wash; all better!

Yes I drained and refilled it twice over a couple of weeks.

i drove home from a friends house last night and instead of taking the interstate i took her on some back roads. It was alot of fun on curvy hilly roads with no one on them and a 55 mph speed limit at midnight. Of course with the number of rednecks it seems who were standing outside their houses at that hour didnt make me wanna drive any slower.

DICE Bluetooth module

Installed and working. VERY easy. Took about 30 mins. General cleanup, and now looking for a solution to the MID pixel issue which just cropped up.

Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
Installed my rear footwell lights today as a retrofit (car did not come with them but the cutouts are under the carpet and wiring connector is already there, literally just cut out a small piece of carpet and plug in housings, and affix to floor with 2 m6 nuts)

Total cost $27 for 2 light housings and 4 plastic nuts from the dealer

promptly removed the halogen bulbs in the housing and used white LED festoon bulbs that match the rest already in there, my interior is a little brighter today
