Mike, the sound is great! are those tips smaller than oem?i remember mine filling the gap a little more.
RB, eisenmann does offer quad tips and they are 300$ cheaper
But man, I would have liked a side by side comparison of the OEM vs eisenmann in this video ....

Like I said if I decide I want a bit more sound I'll do an X pipe.

You could start with the Xpipe cuz it's cheap, and then do an axle back or headers for more sound.

For what it's worth headers are the best power adder, but I need the cats for emissions here in Jersey. If I didn't, I'd just do headers with my exhaust and forget about the X pipe.
Intake drowns it out? afe unit? I've just got a 2.5" velocity stack at the front of the air box, seems to help in the higher rpms, but no audible differences lol. Going to install a K&N filter (unknown filter in there now) and call it a day for the intake.

I'd like to get the Strett silicone intake kit/resonator delete and the afe intake, but it's a daily lol my other car is getting pissed off.

Yes, AFE.

The intake is louder in the cabin on my 3.0 above 4k, than the exhaust itself. If I had stock airbox (quiet) it would probably be a different story. I'll try to set up a video clip this week from outside the car.

Put Blitstein rear shocks on my 2003 X5. It replaced the factory ones after 170K. Am testing them on a road trip to Chicago this weekend.

OFH gasket, Idler and Tensioner Pulley, and both belts. I didnt bother with the AC Tensioner pulley as it felt fine. Fresh Oil change.

Should be good for winter now, will wait to put the snows on till after I get back from Vacation in Bali in December, shouldnt need the snows till then, I HOPE!

What do you guys normally do for winter prep for your X5? I'm doing the obvious undercoating, snow tires and weathertech floor mats, but anything else I should be putting on my list?

oh ya, also noticed my drivers headlight is broken, oh joy, guess the shop that changed the engine removed the front end because the bumper was definitely off as well. WELL adding Depo headlights to my list too :/

how old is the ccv in your x5?(if more than 2 yrs replace it as preventive maintance or it may freeze and hydrolock your engine and possibly need a new engine)$800.00 installed is a well worth investment compared to a new engine.
lube door handle mechanisms , silicone weather strips, lube latches all around and hinges, check hoses, drive belts, all fluids. these x5`s need alot of tlc.
