bcredliner, which brand of LED signal bulbs did you go with? I'm going to be looking into LED conversions in the near future if I can. Going to start with the fogs...

I lowered it (along with all fresh suspension components with polyurethane bushings all around).

Looks good!

As for the previous posts about euro headlights, since the one Im picking up in two weeks (2006 3.0) does not have xenons, this gives me a chance to upgrade at the same time.

The only issue is finding ones for left hand drive vehicles. They exist but I have to look long and hard for them, as many are for right-hand drive and the beams angle up the wrong way

Push comes to shove I guess I can just modify a set of US xenons, as some are around for 250-300 a side....

Have you checked ebay.de? You can find them on there. The only tricky part is finding ones that ship to the US.

e53 x5 bi-xenon | eBay

Yea I need to dig through that some more. The ones I have been finding are nice enough to specify for RHD in the description (sadly those are the cheapest...$6-700 loaded vs $800-1600 for LHD)

For now its on the back burner, as I have a 528 Touring that needs attention as well as an E46 325xi creampuff of a car that we picked up for the girlfriend. Maintenance is first on the X5, which is going to be plugs and a possible coil, power steering lines and a valve cover gasket.

I was a tech for the better part of 5 years and have been turning wrenches on BMWs for about 14 (and still do occasionally) so its nice to know my way around them for the most part...hope I can contribute some to the forum.

Removed the roof rack and did a quick wash. Starting to come together nicely.

And one of all my cars together.

That's quiet the fleet! Looks like the e38 could use some black kidneys

Brian I see that your x5 does not have th interefering interior turn signal lens hence the led turn signal bulb from bimmimanfits with no interference.
