It was an enormous help!
Glad it helped you out. Nothing really difficult about the process, just extremely tedious and time consuming.

I'll be doing that again in my 4.8is as soon as I recover from our forced kitchen remodel (house flooded) and can afford another Avin.

Woah. The seats have to come out to do that? Good to know, I will plan on using my carpet cleaner to detail that part while it is torn up.

Installed 20W LED angel eye bulbs to replace the 3.5W bulbs I had previously put in to replace my blown stock bulbs.

Hmmm....might have to do this soon on my passenger door handle, which requires an extra good pull to open from the outside.
What causes the issue? Is it corrosion/wear of the carrier mechanism, cable stretch, or a combination of these?
Edit: Also, should I buy the Febi-Bilstein carrier, or the genuine BMW item?
The FB part is less than half the price of the OE carrier.

No, it doesn't have to really. I just like to route all my wiring along the factory wiring paths and under the factory clips, carpets, etc. Even go so far as to wrap it in Tesa tape (BMW factory wiring tape) usually. It's an OCD thing that I have realized forces me to take 10x longer to do things than everyone else. Sometimes the result is better... and other times it was just a huge waste of time.

Tearing into the front driveshaft/Xfer case job today.

Will find the cause of hard acceleration ratchet sound, order parts, correct issue.
