Pulled and install a fuel pump, fired right up, 60k and it died right in the drive way after a wash and detailing. I have had the part for some time but other projects hit in the way, like an entire suspension refresh on the 528i.
Now I and running up and down the highway cleaning off the rotors from sitting so long....
Time for another detailing.

Installed double USB ports. Modified the ash tray for what I think is a pretty clean installation.

Bullseye. What part for you use I may want to copy I like that you can close the "small parts tray" when not in use

Nice. I went with the single USB for my Avin Avant-4 in the cigarette lighter receptacle.

I modified the small metal part that holds the little plastic cone that I assume is for putting out cigarettes. I removed the cone, pulled the metal piece out and flattened out the long side that hangs down on the right side. Pounded the bend flat then cut a hole for the USB port. Cut off part of the extra metal that was hanging out after installing the port. Drilled a hole in the bottom of the ash tray and fed the wires through the dash and up into the glove box to plug into the usb ports for the Avin Avant 4 unit. I'm loving the Avin unit, by the way.
