I pulled my bulk head and now trying to disconnect the small secondary vacuum hose connecting under the intake manifold to some reservoir. The hose is cracked and is sending p0491 & p0492 codes. all other components are good.

2002 3.0i, + 120,000 miles.

Also, the bentley service manual is such crap. FYI.

Good way to cover it when it cracks!

My key-in-ignition and headlight buzzer non functional

Other Facts
*Driver Door Actuator was replaced with BMW part purchased at International Auto in fall of 2010
*Replacement window control switch was swapped to test for switch failure
*During examination of door jamb harness, it appears that a pin maybe broken (5th from bottom)
*Key left in ignition doesn't chime when door left open
*Interior lights do not activate when driver door is open[/QUOTE]

Hi. My key-in-ignition and headlight buzzer on my 2001 X5 don't work either. Any ideas what it could be? I tested the chime does work.
Thanks,

Nader

Skid here!. Mine is a Jan. 2000 X5 4.4i. w/ 139K mi.
Why just the LF wheel bearing & what caused you to notice it needed replacement? I just put Purple suspension bushings (Powerflex) under everything I could in the front end. Wondering when these bearings are going to need R&R.

Thanks.

Got a replacement drivers heated seat pad for the very broken OEM pad.

Have Toyo winter tires coming in a few days too. All of which is good, as the temps are starting to hit freezing here.

Yesterday I paid a $6300 repair bill for my X
Timing chain guides, all seals, all gaskets, control arms, suspension bushings, CV boots, alignments, oil change, coolant, water pump, thermostat, plugs...and a whole host of other little items replaced while it was apart.
Followed same day by the installation of (4) 255/55R18 Michelin X-Ice XI2 & (4) Touren TR3 18" rims. Just in time for a foot of snow

$6300!!!!! Is it even worth (and I don't mean sentimental value..lol!) that much now resale or trade in value wise?
