Let's stick to the topic on helping this person out..does not matter if he is a kid or not.....its his car,he choose to have it and its very unfortunate his situation is in a bad neighborhood,he's asking an advice on our forum which is known to help out others...so let's stick to suggestion and not criticize or put him down at any way...


get some...wheel locks,boot your car,alarm w/motion sensor, attach a dual camera inside your car hooked up to a yellow tap battery, hook up a video camera connected to your cable DVR so its constantly running with night vision on your balcony of anywhere that you can see your car that way you always have eye on the sky even your inside....you can view the camera through your iphone too......

If you've been to South Africa, you'll understand why someone created that "anti-car jacking" feature. That place is crazy in some parts.

Back to the stupid subject . . . it's a used car . . . BMW or not . . . it is a used car. Any dick and harry with a job can get one . . . now go live in your car if you are worried.

Ok, I didn't post that to come across as condescending....there were a ton of useful suggestions already mentioned. Parking it in a garage out-of-site-out-of-mind would be another alternative.......just meant to throw some humor in the mix. That is all.

To the OP, keep in mind....red isn't exaclty a subtle color. There's only so many things you can do to deter a thief. Bottom line however, if they want it bad enough, and are brazen enough; will work a way to get it, regardless of your countermeasures.
