Yeah, though probably won't touch it until spring. I've got small hands, so the tight spots might not be so bad for me

I`ve worked on dodges,fords,chevs, and now when I look at BMW they are a complex unit. but the bentley manual I got for xmas will be a big help though.

Pano moonroof function

On my E53 4.8 :
Close your moonroof fully (close sunshade also). Hit the moonroof button once upwards. Does your sunshade split in half like this? Moonroof goes in tilt position while sunshade splits.

I'm asking this cause I never noticed before and on my wife's E70 , the sunshade doesn't split in half with this function , it only opens from the front a few inches.

Ditto Vein, this is normal for the e53 Pano sunroof. It was definitely a departure from the way the regular sunroof's shade panel operated when the sunroof is in the vented mode (front of shade panel moves back a few inches). From what you describe about the e70...looks like they went back to the old way.
